2006 Carver 38 SS

The Carver Yacht brand is a nationally recognized luxury motor yacht leader.  This meticulously maintained 2006 38SS motor yacht is in immaculate condition. The Carver 38SS is a highly desired recreational flybridge super sport fishing yacht.  The flybridge is enclosed in removable marine canvas and clear marine vinyl.  The bridge features a wet bar and Isotherm icemaker, Clarion stereo speakers, a forward passenger bench w/retractable table, twin captain seats courtesy lights.

This diesel-powered vessel has twin Volvo Penta, Model D6 310DI HS, 310hp (282 Hours ea. July 2024).  The electronic throttle/gear shifters make piloting this vessel a breeze; however, the pilot has the added convenience of a bow thruster for micro adjustments.  The helm is fully equipped with many other features like hydraulic steering, hydraulic trimtabs, Ray Marine electronics; (autopilot, radar, depth finder, GPS, and two upgraded programable Axiom chart plotters), Standard Horizon VHF radio, navigation lights, remote search light, horn, DC power socket, and DC panel.

This vessel is equipped with many other extras: (e.g., ACR registered self-deployment (EPIRB), galvanic isolator, genset, water-maker, fire suppression system, extended platform, bait tank, huge fish hold (x2), 4 gunwale fishing pole holders, 5 overhead fishing pole holders, stern shower, and pressurized deck washdown, LED lighting throughout, 3 Ring surveillance cameras w/dual battery & solar, fenders and dock lines, and all USCG required emergency and safety gear.).

Carver designed this vessel with full accommodations including an innovative salon, a full galley and two staterooms (forward and midship), and full head.   It’s designed for the ultimate in aquatic enjoyment with an oversized cockpit and oversized swim platform. The swim platform has a swim ladder on the starboard side and features blue underwater stern LED lighting.

The decks of the cockpit, swim platform, stairs and flybridge are enhanced with custom SeaDek (closed-cell PE/EVA foam) to provide exceptional traction, comfort, shock absorption, and protection against scratches, chips, and dents.  There is ample lighting, including courtesy, overhead and stern lighting in all these areas.  Four folding deck chairs are available to be conveniently positioned.

The oversized cockpit has convenient stairs leading to the bridge and bow on the port side and stairs leading to the bow on the starboard side.  The bow is fitted with an electric windlass deployed anchor with foot controls, a bow lounging pad, and a hatch to the forward stateroom. The portside stairs lead to the spacious fully enclosable bridge with courtesy lighting.  The bridge features a wet bar and comfortable lounge that easily accommodates four adults.

For this class vessel, the oversized cockpit opens to a very spacious salon and galley on the main deck.  This vessel is equipped with two AC systems.  One system is dedicated to the main salon and an AC/Heat system for the forward stateroom, midship stateroom, and head.  The salon and both staterooms are equipped with separate smoke and CO detectors.

Carver's two-tiered windows provide generous views throughout the salon and galley level. The two-tiered windows are also equipped with privacy draperies.  The galley is fully equipped and includes essential solid-surface countertops.  Upon entering through the sliding glass and screened doors, the interior boasting solid cherry wood is open and spacious, featuring a port side galley and a large starboard couch. The galley and head countertops are a synthetic Corian-like surface.  Primary solid cherry surfaces are protected with Tommy Bahama style covers. The salon includes a leatherette settee (sofa) with a matching elevated L-shaped dinette, a mounted flat screen TV with Bose sound bar (and storage behind it), and a Clarion M608 sound system. The raised dinette offers spectacular views all around the boat. 

The galley is equipped with a SS sink basin (pressurized hot / cold water), a split fridge and freezer, a microwave, and a twin burner electric cooktop and exhaust fan, coffee maker, and toaster and ample storage for weekend provisioning.

Down the stairs to the lower deck, you will find the three solid cherry wood doors to the head and two staterooms. The master stateroom also has private access to the head, and another head door opens to the hallway, providing day head access for guests.

The two staterooms were recently appointed with bedding upgrades from Yachtbedding.com. The forward stateroom with an island-style bed, was enhanced with a 9” Latex pillowtop boat mattress with a waterproof mattress pad cover for extra protection.  This mattress was complemented with the Red Land cotton sheet set with a lightweight Interlaken Matelasse tailored blanket. A quilted coverlet gave the bed an awesome finished look with the Naples fabric and matching shams.  A 14 by 24-inch throw pillow with sea stars haze fabric really tied this bed together. 

The forward stateroom has two solid cherry wood hanging storage lockers, six overhead lockers, two under-bed storage drawers, and a pocket door.  The forward stateroom also has a direct door to the head and is equipped with a flat screen, reading lights, and has ample lighting and storage.  There are also port and starboard portholes with window drapes and an overhead opening hatch with a light blocking cover.

The midship stateroom has the same waterproof mattress pad covers with Red Land cotton sheet sets and Interlaken Matelasse blankets. These beds also have quilted coverlets in the Halo fabric with matching shams and each bed has a 14 by 24-inch throw pillow in the Ombre Fabric. 

The midship stateroom has a pocket door, plenty of storage space, and a porthole window for natural light. There is an extra bolster that converts the two twin beds into one queen bed. The midship stateroom includes a hotel safe, flat screen, ample light including a reading light.

The head is equipped with a sink basin (pressurized hot / cold water) vanity area separate from the enclosed shower which houses the reliable fresh water VacuFlush marine toilet.
