This beautiful 1979 Hershine 37 Tri-Cabin trawler, "Sea Star," is in excellent condition and ready for your BC or Alaskan cruise.
The Hershine boats were built in Kaohsiung Boat Yard, Taiwan. They are known for being rugged coastal cruisers. This 37 Tri-Cabin is a particularly nice model, tuned by the long-time cruising owner to be safe and durable underway and comfortable and self-sustained in your favorite anchorage.
It is unusual to find a trawler preserved in such excellent condition. It is a great family cruiser and will serve its next owners for many years of cruising.
The master stateroom boasts a spacious bed with a custom slide-out for extra room and an ensuite bath with shower, tub, and freshwater electric flush toilet. The forward ensuite guest cabin has a V-berth.
The boat is fitted port and starboard with salon doors to the broad walk-around side decks, making it easy to join the sundeck picnic or deploy fenders.
Aft along the port side is the galley with a fridge/freezer unit and some custom cabinetry. There is plenty of drawer and cabinet storage, as well as ample counter space for food prep. There is a double-well stainless sink, a 3-burner cooktop, and a microwave oven.
Across is the lounge, with a settee and folding-leaf dinette table. Aft along the port side is egress to the side deck.
Two reliable and fuel-efficient Ford Lehman diesels are below, with only 1,000 hours and service records.
This lovely Tri-Cabin arrangement permits excellent social areas, including a massive flybridge and aft sundeck, a spacious foredeck, and a cockpit with seating for a dozen or more.
The tender is a 9' Livingston on a Weaver davit system that can be easily deployed. A traditional mast with a boom is positioned at the aft edge of the flybridge with a manual winch to assist in the launch and recovery of the tender.
An electric windlass manages a more than adequate rode and anchor.
The deck is in excellent condition. The boat has spent many years in a boathouse and is currently undercover, and it shows it.
