Broker Notes

Broker Notes:
275 HP 3208 Cat diesels...
With the big Cats she can reach speeds over 16 knots. Introduced in 1966, the 42 Grand Banks
Motor Yacht is now simply referred to as the "Classic", a designation that few knowledgeable
boaters would dispute. With her elegant trawler profile and proven semi-displacement hull, the
42 Classic is a true offshore passage maker and a superb sea-boat. Notably her lines are very
similar to those of the larger 46 Classic and it's difficult to tell the two apart from a distance. This
Classic has the standard two-stateroom floor plan with the galley-up. Like all Grand Banks
models, the 42 Classic is built extremely well with exceptional engineering and a near-obsessive
attention to detail. The rich teak cabinetry, the mechanical systems are first-rate, the salon light
& airy and the exterior gel coat mirror smooth. Powered is provided by twin 275-HP Caterpillar
3208 diesels enabling her to cruise comfortable at 11 to 14 knots with max speed around 18
knots, making her a very economical vessel to run.
This Classic has been maintained by a knowledgeable seaman. The boat is fully equipped and
all that is required are your personal items and groceries and you are ready for a trip to Catalina
or a more offshore adventures.
